My friends and I met up again for the baptism of Pauleene Ria Agatha Jose (Lui’s baby).
As per usual, we ended up laughing as we talked about the good old times. It was very fun and it’s as if no time had passed since we last saw each other. The bonding is still pretty tight, I would say. And we still have it in us to make fun of one another (which is one of the best things about our group).
However, I also made a sad realization. All we seem to do now is ask each other what we’re up to. Blah. Blah. It’s all formal stuff until we end up talking more about the past. It just feels like all the great moments of our friendship have come and gone and I don’t want it to be that way. True, those were all great memories and we always come back to them but, Geez! We gotta make some new memories… We have to spend more time with each other and we’ve got to go out of our way to do so.
Otherwise, our friendship (which is so precious to me) might end up just being about meeting up for special events and talking about the past.
Now, that would suck, wouldn’t it?
